Cancer Sucks.
Give Hope.

Omaha Hope Foundation funds direct help for Omaha-area families navigating cancer — bills, groceries, transportation, lodging, and the plain-English education insurance doesn't cover.

Cancer sucks. Give hope.

What your dollars have funded.

Every dollar raised in Omaha stays in Omaha. Here's where it has gone since 2023.

$40,000
Direct family aid

Bills, groceries, transportation, and lodging — paid directly to vendors on behalf of Omaha-area families in active cancer treatment.

3
Families helped

Local households in active treatment that received direct OHF aid. Each family is more than a number — every story stays with us.

100%
Stays in Omaha

Of every dollar raised. We are small on purpose. The work is local on purpose.

Real help, right here.

Cancer is the most expensive word in the English language. We fund the bills insurance does not.

01

Household bills

Rent, mortgage, utilities, internet — paid directly to landlords and utilities. We keep the lights on while a family focuses on treatment.

02

Groceries & meals

Grocery cards and meal support so a family in active treatment doesn't have to choose between food and a co-pay.

03

Transportation & lodging

Gas cards, rideshare credit, and hotel stays for families traveling for treatment. Cancer doesn't pause when the car breaks.

04

Plain-English education

Resources that translate medical complexity into the questions you should ask. We don't replace your oncologist. We make them understandable.

Three ways to give.

Your gift never funds a national overhead budget. It funds a household across town this month.

Give once.

Make a one-time gift in any amount. Most one-time donors fund a specific family need — rent, a tank of gas, a week of groceries.

Give now

Give in person.

Sponsor or attend an OHF community event. We raise the majority of our annual funding through events that are also some of Omaha's best nights out.

You don't owe us a story.

If you or someone in your family is navigating cancer in the Omaha area and you need help — we want to hear from you. You do not need to be referred by a doctor or social worker. You do not need to share your story before we can help.

How to apply.

  1. Fill out the short intake form. It takes about five minutes.

OHF

"Omaha Hope Foundation exists to fund real help and share real knowledge for the people in our community living through cancer — and the families standing beside them."

[Founder name] started OHF in 2023 because [one-sentence reason from founder interview]. For three years we did what nobody else in Omaha was doing — funded the bills, the gas, the groceries, and the plain-English answers medical insurance never covered.

We are not a research charity. We are not a national brand. We are your neighbors, on the ground, the day after diagnosis.
